Environment participates in the 'sixteenth Atlantic Watersports Games: Cantabria 2010'.
The Ministry of Environment, Government of Cantabria participate in the sixteenth edition of the 'Atlantic Watersports Games', which this year will take place in Cantabria, specifically in the Palace of the Embarcadero, Santander.

Atlantic Watersports The Games aim to promote interregional cooperation in Europe and contribute to building a common identity among citizens of the European Atlantic Arc regions, through a cultural event, sports and tourism in the regions of Atlantic Europe.
To date, the sports festival has been celebrated in France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Portugal and Spain, in particular in the regions of Galicia, Asturias and the Basque Country, host to nearly 600 participants from regions of the Atlantic Area, encouraging the exchange among peoples and promoting the sailing competition.
Cantabria presented his request to host the Games Atlantiques edition in 2010 during the General Assembly which was held in Santander, in May 2009, his candidacy being the highest score by the International Committee of the Games.
