Location relaxes after volcanic eruption

After the eruption of the Galeras volcano in southwestern Colombia, the authorities have lowered the alert level from red to orange. But this means that another outbreak remains possible in the coming weeks, told a national geological institute. The interior minister said the people in the immediate vicinity of the volcano to reflect once again to leave their homes and seek out the available emergency shelters.

The volcano had begun on Friday evening, ejecting ash and gases.
